Who is responsible
For your account, Hayyakum is responsible for your data.
For your guest list, you (the couple or family hosting the event) decide whose details go in and why: you are the controller of your guests’ data, and Hayyakum processes it for you, only on your instructions.
What we keep
Your account: your name, email, WhatsApp number, language, and a securely hashed password.
Your event: the details you enter (names, date, venue, wording) and your guest list: guests’ names and phone numbers, their replies, companions they add, and the messages they leave for you.
Payments: what you bought, when, and the receipt. Card details are entered on our payment provider’s page (Thawani) and never reach Hayyakum.
What we use it for
Only to run your event: showing the invitation, recording replies, issuing entry passes, checking guests in at the door, and letting you download your lists. We never sell data, show ads, or contact your guests for anything else.
No trackers
Hayyakum has no advertising or third-party tracking tools. To improve the product we count, on our own servers, anonymous steps such as “started an invitation” or “opened the upgrade page”, without IP addresses or device fingerprints.
Where it is kept
On our servers, with daily encrypted backups. Only the people who run Hayyakum can reach them, and only to keep the service working or when you ask for help.
How long we keep it
Your event and guest list are kept until 90 days after the event, then deleted, unless you delete them earlier. Receipts are kept for 10 years because tax law requires it. Your account stays until you ask us to close it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or to receive a copy. Guests who want their details changed or removed can ask the couple, or us, and we will pass it on. Message us on WhatsApp or write to [email protected].
If something goes wrong
If a breach affects your data we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires, and explain what we are doing about it.
